Never thought of it as "WOW" TV, it always has been W. O. W. TV, not the word Wow... interesting.

Yeah I ate there as a kid, it was my favorite place. I remember they had a Squeeze Water Bottle we got there that said "My Main Squeeze" I am assuming it was filled with Soda. The kids meals always came with Alligator cups.

You're doing a great service as far as I'm concerned by helping to put this one on the pop culture map! I can't say how many times I've had to bring this location up when the mention of the Downey location is featured. I grew up in San Jose and this was my favorite because it didn't give in to franchise pressure to modify in the 70s! I even went by and took pictures of it in 1989, right before I moved out of the area! I also recall the big huff the SJ City Council got into when it was declared a national landmark! Haha! I haven't seen all of the comments here yet, but I noticed a Bascom Ave location was mentioned. We also usually went to the one on Meridian near Foxworthy for takeout that was unfortunately changed to the 70s style to my disappointment!

I've always been fascinated with McDonalds going back to my childhood of the early 80s. They innovate food, marketing, packaging and now apps and virtual ordering. Not too long ago they only accepted cash! Ya I miss the old McDonalds, but the franchise needs to be profitable and the biggest savings is less workers.
